Target Audience - Foreign Students from the Human Rights Centre of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra

 


Main goal:

This North | South Library training course in English has as main goal to develop the abilities of users to:

1. Use the B-ON and JSTOR catalogues and databases, restricted access databases,

Introduction to NSB services: Home loan; Photocopying and Scanning Service; Reservations;

- Introduction to the contents of WebOPAC or WebPAC, i.e.

Bibliographical Catalogue: Types of bibliographic research:

a) Simple Search: selecting the option of a term - Any field; Author; Title; Subject; Matter; Quota; etc.);

b) Advanced Search: Crossing of terms - Author and Subject; Title and Subject,

- Access to databases and research elaboration:

a) B-On (what is B-On; VPN access; Access limitations);

b) JSTOR (What is JSTOR; Access limitations)

- Information retrieval and management;
