Biography

Mahtab Abbaspour is a researcher with a passion for urban planning and social justice. She is currently a PhD student in Sociology of the State, Law, and Justice at the University of Coimbra. She holds a Master of Law by Research degree from the University of Kent, UK, where her thesis focused on defining a just city with regard to informal settlements, specifically in the city of Shiraz. She has a diverse educational background in architecture, English literature, urban planning, and law from reputable universities in Iran and the UK. Her research and work experience focus on urban planning, social justice, and the development of sustainable and equitable cities.
