Patrícia Santos
Biography
With a significant interest in the field of education from an early age, Patrícia Santos has a degree in Basic Education from Coimbra Superior School of Education since 2021 and a Master's in Educational Sciences from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra, where she developed her internship report on the theme of "Masculinities, Childhood and Education". Believing that education, citizenship, and gender equality are umbilically interconnected concepts, Patrícia Santos has been tracing a professional path that correlates these areas by carrying out her curricular internship (from September 2023 until May 2024) within the Observatory on Masculinities of the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra and the EMiNC Project [Engaging Men in Nurturing Care Initiative], a project focused on Early Childhood Care, Masculinities and Fatherhood. In April 2024, she joined the team of the same project as a research fellow and is also currently part of the team of researchers of the Projects EQUI-Champions [Promoting inclusion, gender equity and non-violent models of masculinities in sports environments] and Carers for a Day [For a lifetime experience. Transforming masculinities to drive more men into the Care Sector], as well as coordinating the communication of the Observatory on Masculinities.
