Biography

Economist, PhD candidate in Governance, Innovation and Knowledge at CES/FEUC of the University of Coimbra, Master in Applied Economics from the Federal University of Ouro Preto, postgraduate degree in Financial Management from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG) and bachelor's degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG). PhD researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPQ/Brazil): a) Research Center on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Territorial Development - NUPEPI, b) Study Group on Learning, Knowledge Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship - GATIE, c) Social License to Operate in Mining and PhD candidate at the Research Center on Tourism, Sustainability and Well-Being (CinTurs/UAlg - Algarve/PT). Academic researcher in the project "Productive reconversion in territories dependent on mining" - SEBRAE/MG - Brazil. Experience as a professor of economics in law, administration, accounting and production engineering courses. Extensive experience in IT governance consulting, acting as a senior service manager in different institutional contexts, including multinationals in the energy, health, steel and government agencies. Current research interest is to understand transformation processes, especially in monodependent peripheral territories, in a spatial context and how they relate to economic, social and environmental outcomes. To this end, the interest of the study is associated with the different types of relationships between actor networks, innovation capacity and territorial governance. Interest in concepts and approaches that allow policy makers, companies, universities/research centers and engaged citizens to participate in regional development processes.
