Summary of planned activities
This internship will address issues related to biodiversity through a transdisciplinary approach and using diverse methodologies, mirroring the interdisciplinary, plural and inclusive character of the Centre for Social Studies.
We invite students with interest in the areas of sociology, anthropology and/or biology to travel through the city of Coimbra, getting to know and mapping its different green spaces and their histories, finding out about what their inhabitants or visitors know on biodiversity and to outlining the course of a local associative initiative - Coimbra em Transição - which aims to contribute to a more resilient lifestyle, in close relation and partnership with local communities.
At the end of the internship, students will be encouraged to disclose the main results of these courses in the form of a scientific presentation and to organize a photographic exhibition
