A partir do mote “Artes Feministas das Palavras”, a XI edição do Gender Workshop Series propõe uma série de conversas mensais, em torno de questões feministas, de género e coloniais, com escritoras e outras cultoras das artes das palavras. Nesta sessão, conversaremos com Trifonia Melibea Obono, a partir do seu trabalho.
 

Based on the theme "Feminist Arts of Words", the XI edition of the Gender Workshop Series proposes a series of monthly talks, around feminist, gender and colonial issues, with authors and other curators of the arts of words. In this session, we will talk with Trifonia Melibea Obono, based on her work.

Bio note 

Trifonia Melibea Obono (Afaetom, Evineyong, Equatorial Guinea, 1982) is an author, journalist, politologist, lecturer and researcher on issues of gender in Africa. Teaches at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of EGNU  (Equatorial Guinea National University) in Malabo since 2013, she is also member of the Centre fo Afro-Hispanic Studies of UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia) and Phd candidate Interdisciplinary Studies on Gender and Equality Policies of the University of Salamanca. She has collaborated with several national and international publications  such as La gaceta de Guinea Ecuatorial, Revista Bostezo, El Lector o EKOS del Golfo and has published several short reports on media regarding current affairs and culture of Equatorial Guinea and Africa. “Herencia de bindendee” (2016) was her first novel, followed by “La bastarda” (2016), in which she gives voice to the country's tabu on Lesbianism. She is also author of “La albina del dinero” (2017), “Las mujeres hablan mucho y mal” (2018), “Yo no quería ser madre” (2019) y “Allí debajo de las mujeres” (2019).
