About
The "PARENT National Handbook - Engaged and Nurtutring Paternities: From Theory to Practice", addresses the importance of paternity and nurture in public policies for equality, and is an outcome of the International Project "PARENT - Promotion, Awareness Raising and Engagement of men in Nurture Transformations" coordinated by the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (CES/UC).
This Project aimed to address the challenges of preventing and eradicating violence against women and children, involving men in co-parenting and caregiving, and promoting an equal share of unpaid care work.
The presentation of this Handbook will be attended by the following speakers: Sandra Ribeiro - President of the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality, Vera Cardoso - Specialist Nurse in Maternal Health and Obstetrics at the HFF, Vasco Prazeres - Coordinator of the Centre for Gender and Equity in Health of the DGS, Tatiana Moura and Milena do Carmo - co-authors of the Handbook and researchers at CES/UC and Graça Freitas - Director-General of Health.
The capacity of HFF's amphitheatre is limited so those interested can also watch the presentation of the Handbook online, via TEAMS, through the following link: https://bit.ly/3E3hT8u
